About Me

Mae Juniper Stokes (she/they) is a visual artist and writer who grew up among the blue mountains of Utah, and who now lives among the green mountains of Vermont.

Art: Through a lens of ecomysticism, Mae explores plant, animal, human, and more-than-human relationships in the face of climate chaos. By depicting a mythic survival rooted in deep connection and healing, they hope to give imagery to a vision of the future in which we all survive together--plants, humans, animals, and spirits alike.

Writing: Mae writes literary science fiction, fantasy, and fabulism. She is currently working on a novel.
